SMALL BASINS FOR THE SMALL BATHROOM

Even if you have a small area you can still easily fit both a basin and vanity unit in your bathroom. With a depth of just 27cm the neat Micro Menuet basin fits perfectly into a small and narrow bathroom or guest toilet. The basin is reversible so you can place the mixer on the right or left making it flexible in a small space.

Another small basin is the beautiful Mini Minore basin which is made from solid surface material. This basin has a depth of 36cm and therefore also fits nicely into the small bathroom.

So no matter the size of your bathroom you can find both small and large basins to suit from us here at Dansani.

DOUBLE BASINS FOR THE LARGER BATHROOM

If you have the width we have the vanity unit with basin. So why not make the most of the space with a double basin. Two basins allow more people to get ready for a new day and get out the door at the same time.

Choose from a wide range of basins that fit your furniture exactly or select one of our countertop options. Combine your basin choice with our extra tall vanity units to make full use of the wall space.

Our double basins are also available in different materials so you can find the perfect basin for your bathroom.

For example are you aware of our beautiful Minore basin? The elegant, fully moulded Minore basin can be made to measure in lengths up to 240cm allowing you to tailor a solution for your bathroom and your needs making use of every centimetre in your bathroom. Minore is available with one or two basins and you can choose whether you want it with or without a tap hole to fit a deck-mounted or wall-mounted mixer tap.

Our Shape, Form and Unique basins can also be customised to suit your bathroom dimensions and requirements - read more about custom bathrooms here.

COUNTERTOP BASINS

With our countertop basins and matching worktops you can optimise the space and choose solutions with one or more basins, positioning the basin on the right or left side for example. At the same time you get a stylish yet different solution that suits both large and smaller spaces.

Our countertop basins are available in several designs so whether you're looking for a round or square basin you'll find it here.

Our worktops are available in wood veneer, laminate and the sustainable Silestone, which is made from a minimum of 20% recycled material. You can also choose to have your basin customised so that it sits either on the right or left side of a worktop where the worktop and basin are one continuous piece.

BATHROOM BASINS IN COLOUR

In our Mido+ and Calidris ranges you can get bathroom basins in colours other than white.

The Cappella basin is made from sanitary porcelain and is available in matt white, white gloss and anthracite colours. It has a spacious bowl so there's plenty of room to brush your teeth and wash your face.

Our Form basin is made of glass and is available in 4 different matt colours. How about a black basin for a white vanity unit? Or go for the light grey matt and pair it with a vanity unit in a similar colour.

The Unique basin is made from a quartz-based material and this stone basin is unique in its design. It is available in 6 different colours and has a beautiful marbled effect so it almost looks like a marble basin in your bathroom. Unique is available as both a basin and a worktop so you can combine and customise it as you wish. Read more about a customised bathroom here.

WHICH MATERIAL SHOULD I CHOOSE?

Our basins are available in several different materials. The porcelain basin is of course made of sanitary porcelain which is a strong, ceramic material with a soft and rounded design on all edges of both the basin and countertop. The surface is hard, smooth and glossy and the rounded edges make it very easy to clean.

Dansani basins are also available in a strong solid surface material, which has a matt and silky smooth surface that is pleasant to the touch. The ultra-thin design gives the basin a minimalist and stylish look that is the perfect finishing touch to your vanity unit. The solid surface basin is easily maintained with standard bathroom cleaners, however, do not use abrasive cleaners during aftercare. In addition we recommend using Dansani's matt surface care product 3 times a year. Minor damage can be repaired.

Our Form basin is made of glass and has a modern, clean design with soft shapes. The four matt colours, thin look and soft basin design exude personality and elegance. The basin can be exactly produced to suit the size of your bathroom and your preference for the number of bowls in your chosen colour.

The Unique basin has a stringent and distinctive design that draws attention and the exclusive Silestone® natural material adds a touch of luxury and elegance to your bathroom that is out of the ordinary. Each basin is unique and customised to you and your design requirements regarding size, number of bowls and their placement. The deep and spacious bowl area is available in 2 widths.

WHAT HEIGHT TO INSTALL A BASIN?

For the installation height of your basin and vanity unit please see our installation guide here. Our bathroom basins have different recommended height positions depending on the type of basin and material you choose. Therefore your vanity unit must be installed at the correct height which you can see in our installation guide.

BASINS WITH OR WITHOUT TAP HOLE

A tap hole in a basin is used for the mixer tap in your bathroom. We have basins with 1 or 2 tap holes, depending on which basin and size you want. If you choose a double basin with 2 taps you will also need 2 tap holes. If you only have a single tap next to your basin you only need 1 tap hole.

Of course if you have a wall-mounted mixer you can also get basins without tap holes.

FIND THE RIGHT BATHROOM FURNITURE FOR YOUR BASIN

Once you've chosen which basin you want for your bathroom you'll also need to choose which bathroom furniture to place under the basin. You can take a closer look at all our vanity units right here.

The difference between a vanity unit and a base cabinet is that a vanity unit has cut-outs for the waste fittings from your basin. This is where you can find bathroom furniture for your basin.

WHICH BATHROOM BASIN?

When it comes to basins Dansani has several materials to choose from. Sanitary porcelain is the classic material that looks great for many years and is easy to clean. We also have basins in solid surface material which allows for a thinner and more elegant look. We also have basins in glass and the beautiful material Silestone which is strong and resistant on the surface.

WHAT DOES A NEW BASIN COST?

A new basin doesn't have to be expensive and the price range depends on the material chosen and the size you require. Get inspired by our product catalogues and brochures where you can also see prices.

HOW HIGH SHOULD A BATHROOM BASIN BE?

There are different heights / thicknesses of bathroom basins depending on the material you choose. With solid surface you have the option of a very thin and elegant look, whereas with porcelain you can get a slightly taller basin depending on the model you choose.

HOW HIGH SHOULD A BATHROOM BASIN HANG?

In general your basin should be placed so that there is approximately 80cm - 85 cm from the floor to the top of the basin. However there are other factors that come into play such as your height, the height of the vanity unit and the type of basin you've chosen. Position the basin so that you have good working height without it hanging too high or too low.

WHAT SHOULD YOU NOT PUT IN THE BASIN?

In general it's a good idea to avoid pouring anything into the basin that isn't water or soap as it can damage the pipework and the fittings. Instead dispose of these materials in an appropriate way such as throwing them in the rubbish bin or following local regulations for recycling and hazardous waste disposal.

CAN I CHANGE THE BASIN MYSELF?

Yes you can as long as it's only a replacement and connects to existing pipework. If you need to run new pipes or change the plumbing installation you will need the help of an authorised plumber.
